blog-iversary

About a year ago I was really overwhelmed. I was going into high school with no idea of how I wanted to immerse myself in the school. Many of my friends had already been placed into positions for the upcoming year and were engaging with club heads about participating. But, I did not sign up for anything nor apply for any position. So, I was really unsure what I wanted to do throughout high school. I didn't know what types of clubs I wanted to be in or how I wanted to spend my time outside the classroom. I looked into many, many clubs, but didn't really LOVE any of them. I didn't fit the box of what my school offered which was really upsetting because I thought this meant I wouldn't have anything to do other than class throughout my 4 years in high school. Eventually, I decided that maybe none of the clubs fit me, but that didn't mean I couldn't immerse myself in projects I was passionate about. I have always loved fashion and found writing cathartic and a way to express things I otherwise wouldn't be able to. Because of my passion for these two things, I had the perfect activity/ extracurricular for me: blogging. This was completely new to me because I had NEVER shared my writing with ANYONE and was quite frankly not extremely interested in doing so. But, I thought that I might as well give it a shot because the worst possible outcome was me not liking it and simply stopping. But, if I did like it then I would have a new hobby and interest. There was really nothing I could lose. So, on July 7th, a year ago today, I started my blog. It was originally a way for me to express my fashion interests and poetry I was writing at the time. However, it took me awhile to figure out my style and I quickly found that I didn't like sharing my poetry with others. But, there was something I really liked sharing: lifestyle tips and recent experiences. So, my blog is taking a turn that I didn't really plan, but I love it. I am open to change and look forward to what the future holds. This blog was not an attempt at becoming famous or well known, but more for me to find a passion and run with it. And, since doing so, I have been my most content self because I have drive and confidence that I was once lacking. To the few who read my blog: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Les is More by Leila has showed me new interests (like videography) and has taught me to allow and welcome change. For my 1 year blog anniversary, here are some of my favorite outfits from the past year. I don't even think a blog anniversary is a thing, but I am very happy to establish it as one because why not?
